but I bought it as a very attractive item, and am not sure!
The picture has gilt framing on both sides.
The board can be seen on the reverse and is EARLY plywood.
There are no fixings attached for hanging, it can be stood using a plate stand.

The wax finish adds to the fine colour and patina.
Some signs of long dead historic woodworm.
